BUDGET AND IT'S WELFARE SCHEMES

Pre Metric Scholarship

Pre Metric scholarship will be sanctioned to the economically backward minority students studying in class 6th to 10th whose parent/guardian income is below Rs 12,000/- per annum. The rates of Scholarship are

(a) from Class 6th

Eligibility Criteria

Pre Metric scholarship will be sanctioned to the economically backward Minority students from 6th to 10th Class, Whose family income does not exceed Rs 12,000/- per annum. The Scholarship amount shall be disbursed to the students who put in 75% attendance in normal time.

Procedure for Disbursement

1.

Press notification calling application forms from eligible candidates will be issued by Head office in the month of June every year in all leading newspapers (Telugu & Urdu).

2.

Filled in application forms will he received in the office of Executive Director/DMWOs directly from schools.

3.

On receipt of scholarship forms, EDs/DMWOs will scrutinize all application forms with reference to the original TC and Income Certificate available in the High School and submit to the selection committee for approval.

4.

The Selection Committee consists of Joint Collector, District Education Officer, ED APSMFC/DMWO. The list will be approved by the committee duly following the procedure for sanction of scholarships.

5.

After selection, the name the students selected for scholarships along with the amount sanctioned will be displayed on the notice board of the concerned High School and the office of ED/DMWO.

Release and Disbursement

a.

EDs/DMWOs issue Bankers Cheque/DD in favour of Head Master of the institution.

b.

On receipt of the cheques/DD, the Head Master disburses the scholarship amount to the students by way of Cheque/Cash.

c.

The un-disbursed scholarships shall be returned by the Principal/HM of the institute to ED/DMWO by means of Banker Cheque/DD.

Proposed System of Disbursement

7.

It is proposed to disburses scholarships directly to the Bank Accounts of the respective scholarship holders from Principal bank of the Corporation either Electronic Transfer where ever possible or otherwise.



Post Metric Scholarship

Post Metric Scholarship will be sanctioned to the Economically Backward Minority students whose parents/guardians annual income does not exceeds Rs 33,500/- per annum for general courses and Rs 44,500/- per annum for professional courses. The post metric scholarship will be sanctioned to the minority students of Intermediate, Graduation, Post Graduation and Professional Courses on the lines of BCs.

The Post Metric scholarship will be sanctioned to the minority students of Intermediate, Graduation, Post Graduation and Professional Courses to the economically backward minority students.

Above 5 KM will be treated as Student Managed Hostel

6.

The Minority Finance Corporation has a scheme for incentive scholarships for minority students who are State and District rankers in courses of SSC, Intermediate, Graduation, P.G and Professional, on the lines of the Prathibha Awards including those in Urdu medium.

Awards are given to State level rankers having 1st to 10th ranks, in all courses starting from SSC onwards. The details of the incentive schemes are furnished here, as provided by the Minority Finance Corporation.

Incentive Scholarships

Considering the importance of education for the Socio Economic Development of minorities, this corporation has introduced Incentive Scholarships to Minority students for State & District Rankers during the current year 2005-06 with a view to encourage the minorities to pursue higher studies.

The Incentive scholarship will be awarded to the meritorious minority students who top the Public Examination under Pre Metric (only 7th class), SSC, Intermediate, Graduation, Professional Courses and Post Graduation levels.

The Scheme is being implemented on lines of Pratibha Awards. District Level Rank from 1st to 10th Rank of 7th Class Common Exam. State Level Rankers from 1st Rank to 10th Rank of SSC, Intermediate students of Minorities. Graduation, Post Graduation and Professional courses from 1st Rank to 10th Rank at University level course wise will be awarded in centre scholarship's to Minority Students.

The Minority students who secure 1st to 5th ranks and 6th to 10th ranks are awarded incentive Scholarship as per the rates given below

Micro Credit to Self Help

To bring Minority women in to the main stream and for their empowerment the Government of Andhra Pradesh evolved scheme to Minority women on the lines of DWACRA. To empower financially these DWACRA groups MICRO CREDIT scheme is proposed in which each member of the good working group based on credit rating will be given a direct loan of Rs 5,000/-.

The DWACRA groups availed revolving fund from the Corporation and working satisfactorily are eligible for Direct loan upto Rs 50,000/- subject to a maximum of Rs 75,000/-. The interest @ 4% per annum will be charge with a repayment period of 30 monthly installments.

Eligibility Criteria

Minority Women

Must be a Member in DWACRA

Annual Income below Poverty Line i.e. (Rural Rs 11,000/- per annum and Urban Rs 24,000/- per annum)

DOMWUA (Development of Minority Women in Urban and Rural Areas)

On the lines of DWACRA, the Corporation also provide Revolving Fund equivalent to their savings subject to a maximum of Rs 10,000/- to each group with condition that the all the group members should have regular saving and maintain required books. The Revolving Fund to the group is a grant.

Eligibility Criteria

Minority Women

Age limit between 15 to 50 years

Annual Income of each member should be less than Rs 11,000/- per annum

Each group should consist of 10 to 15 members

At least two members of the group should be literate, who may be elected as President and Secretary

After completion of one year of savings, revolving fund of Rs 10,000/- will be given to the group subject to regular savings, internal lending and maintenance of proper books of accounts, ledgers and minutes book

The group should be introduced to the ED of the concerned district from whom DOMWUA recognition certificate should be obtained.

Training & Employment

To empower minority youths for their economic development, the Corporation is arranges to impart training under various trades like Security Guards, Plastic processing machine operator, Hospital Data Entry Operator, Lab Technical Attender, Physiotherapy Assistant, Water Treatment Technician, Home Patient Care Service, Assistant Emergency Technician, Cell Phone Repairing, Heavy Motor Driving and other demand oriented traders to the minorities so as to become self employable. At present these trainings are arranged through Jan Sikshan Sansthan, Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology etc.

Entire Institutional training cost will be born by the Corporation besides Stipend of Rs 350/- and Rs 1,000/- respectively to Local and Non-Local will be paid to the Minority Youth under going Training Programme.
